There can never be a testimony without a test, and the sterner the test the more compelling the testimony. The purpose of the tests of life is to separate the winners from the losers, and the pretenders from the serious contenders. However, the most interesting thing is that embedded in every test are two things that are mutually exclusive. These are opportunity and excuses. Of these two, the opportunity often calls with a soft gentle voice while excuses shout from the mountain top. The million dollar question is –which voice are you taking heed to everyday? Life will always present you with excuses to test your resolve and determination to succeed. You can choose to form an alliance with your excuses and undermine your chances of success; or you can choose to deal ruthlessly with your excuses.
Positive Self Talk – Ditch Negative Self Talk And Set Yourself Up For Success
Categories: Self Improvement | December 12th, 2008 | by admin | no comments
Self talk is the never-ending stream of thoughts that run through your head every day; the little conversations you have with yourself – either in your head or out loud. These conversations can be negative and critical or positive and supportive. Turning negative self-talk into positive self talk is vital for successful living.
Your self talk affects the way you feel and either sets you up to fail or paves the way for success. What do you tell yourself about yourself? Are you your worst critic? Do you put yourself under unnecessary pressure or do you let yourself off the hook?
When you criticize yourself everything is much harder. When the messages you give yourself are positive and supportive, rather than critical and demeaning, you’ll find it easier to make positive lasting changes.
Breakthrough The Barrier

A lot of people I’ve talked to have said they feel like there is a force field around them keeping them from succeeding. That has happened to me for years. But that was before I had an overhaul on my attitude. There are a lot of people in life that become seriously depressed because they couldn’t accomplish what they really thought they deserved. But eventually, they come to realize the depression was a symptom of being totally focused on ME.
Now I know it may not be about depression but I am afraid, a lot of times it is the next step in a series of emotional turmoils. The bottom line is the best way to overcome the spinning wheel syndrome is to start at home.

On Saturday, September 1, 2007, a major event occurred for the first time in college football history that sent ripples throughout college football. The event that took place was a football game between NCAA Division 1 powerhouse Michigan and Division 1AA Champion Appalachian State.
According to the experts, this game had the making of a classic “David vs. Goliath” Story in which David had NO CHANCE of winning and the game was viewed as a joke that wasn’t supposed to be taken seriously. Michigan was considered a contender for the 2007 National Championship and ranked #5 in the nation. Appalachian State was last year’s D-1AA Champion, not ranked in the same polls
as Michigan and considered completely out of their league when compared next to Michigan.

A lot of people do not believe in the law of attraction. Many of them have strong disagreement with the law. Not many people do know what the law of attraction is. A number of people guess the essence of the law by the name of it. It is understandable if you one of them. The brain is the most powerful computer on the planet. It has the capability to process data at incredible speeds. Almost everything in the body is controlled by the brain. This is such a powerful instrument that it has the capability to create things outside the body too.
People get what they continually focus upon. Unfortunately, the conditioned habit of most people is to think about the negative. When confronted with a situation, they will often devise the worst case scenario. Projections in the future are never in the positive. Naturally, the brain manifests exactly what it created-the worst possible scenario. Ever notice how extremely negative people’s lives are in total chaos? They have every type of hardship while never “catching a break”. The question is often asked, “Are they negative because their life is in turmoil or is their life in turmoil because of the negative thinking”? The latter seems to be more common.
Find Your Own Truth And Happiness

Part Five in the “Coming Into Your Own” Series
Truth exists for each one of us. The key is to find your truth. Too often, we are influenced by the expectations of our parents and culture to define what we consider to be our true nature, or true calling in life.
For many of us, finding our own truth is a process and it can take time. We look for it and sometimes we even rebel and shun the truth of others in order to come into our own truth. To run alone from the pack takes courage and a whole bunch of free will. Running with the pack is indeed easier, but perhaps a little less fulfilling.
How To Drive Shyness Away

A wallflower cannot succeed in this competitive world. One has to stand out in order to be heard. If you are timid and shy, you will not be noticed. You have to get your point across.
To overcome shyness, you have to give yourself more credit. In other words, you must have more self-esteem. Low self-esteem often result to being shy and afraid to speak up. If you know your worth, you will not have second thoughts speaking your mind.
If you are shy, think of the many opportunities you will miss. If you lack the courage to take the extra step, you will have difficulty in going after your aspirations and goal.
Success – Live At 100%

The easiest way to get dramatic results in your life is to live it at 100%. Doing this will give you tremendous results instantly. Each area that we engage in regularly will witness a big step forward. This is a key for entering the elite 3% of successful people.
Most individuals operate at less than 100%. In fact, the majority of people do not even tap into 50% of their potential effort. They have mastered the term “half assing it”. Their days are spent putting out minimal effort. Ironically, it is these people who wonder why they cannot get anywhere.
