The Secret to Instant and Lasting Motivation

Categories: Motivational | March 10th, 2009 | by admin | no comments

A great trick I use to stay motivated all the time!

Do you have a list of goals and desires that have yet to be fulfilled? Do you find yourself generating exciting new ideas only to find that you lose the motivation to complete them shortly after you get started? Perhaps you talk yourself out of that great new idea even before you even begin to pursue it.

Education: Criticisms but What Solutions?

Categories: Education | March 5th, 2009 | by admin | no comments

Thought provoking rant on good willing people who know it all but never actually come up with anything new.

Education is a big debate. There is no doubt that there is room for improvement in this country and many others. God knows it is a big topic of discussion in parties, meetings, gym classes and homes. And everywhere else.

Now what has come to my attention whenever I come across one of those instant “open forums” where everybody gets to jump in and share his/her views is that everybody knows what’s not working but nobody has any solution. The discussions are merely criticisms or teachers, the government, parents, kids, video games, TV or whatever else it to blame for the O-terrible-state-of-education. But who has anything to propose to actually change things?

What is your
purpose in life? Have you ever thought of asking yourself that question? While
most of us waft through the days, our minds on work and rest, we do not stop
and ponder that quintessential question. Why am I here? What am I doing with my
life? Am I where I want to be? These are the questions anyone should be asking
themselves and I will tell you why. The fact is, most of the people you meet
are really either unhappy or indecisive in their lives. They are confused and
they have no idea where to go and what to do next. This person could be you and
it is quite easy to recognise these traits. For example, a person who goes to a
job they do not truly like, or is stuck in a relationship that makes them
unhappy. The philosophers of the modern world have said that there is a
sociological shift towards ?satisfaction’.

A Four Letter Word That the Foulest Mouth Will NOT Repeat…

Categories: Self Help | January 29th, 2009 | by admin | no comments

What is the four letter word that even the foulest mouth will not repeat? It’s FEAR. Why are we so afraid of fear in our lives? Let’s take a look at this issue and see how it can be resolved.

People talk about drunken sailors being the most foul-mouthed people in the world. I wouldn’t know, I’ve never been a drunken sailor nor have I met one. But I do know a four letter word that I rarely hear anyone repeat no matter how loose they are with their tongue. In fact I’ll wager that you rarely if ever have used this word yourself, especially with any personal reference, no matter how tough life gets.

The Four "Big Ideas" About Staying Educated on the Job

Categories: Self Help | January 27th, 2009 | by admin | no comments

If you thought education days were over when you left high school or college, you’ve probably learned how wrong you were. From the kinds of continuing professional education credits required in some fields, to staying up with changes in technology so your job skills don’t get out-moded, and everything in between, constant learning is the baseline expectation of the professional workforce, at every management level…

Edu-ma-cation. Hittin’ the books. Readin’, writin’, ‘n ‘rithmetic.

Becoming Financially Independent Or Successful – Part 2

Part 2
Self image causes limitations on performance

Everybody has a self image. This means in short – What do you think about yourself? If you do not like yourself, how can you expect anybody else to like you? Your self image is hidden in your subconscious mind and it houses your good and your bad characteristics, how you act in certain situations and towards other people (we see quite a lot of people on the internet who do not think very much about themselves if you look at the comments in some forums).

Get A College Degree Online – Improve Your Job Opportunities

Categories: Education | December 18th, 2008 | by admin | no comments

Getting a college degree online will give more job flexibility, increase you income level and provide more opportunities for advancement in your chosen career. According to the Bureau of Labor for August of 2005 the unemployment rate for adults 25 years or older goes down as education level goes up. The unemployment rate for people without a high school diploma was 7%, for a high school graduate 4.5%, some college 3.5%, for a bachelor’s degree and higher the unemployment rate was only 2.4%. This is a significant difference.

If you had to “derail” your education because of job or family responsibilities and don’t feel that you can attend a traditional campus based college or university, then you should consider an online college program. If you are a stay at home parent, you should consider an on line degree. If you don’t live near a school that offers the courses you need, you should consider online courses at an online school.
