Self Improvement – What’s Your Story?

Categories: Self Improvement | September 17th, 2011 | by admin | no comments

Once upon a time there was a young woman who had some problems as a child. Her mom and dad both worked long hours to give her the things she wanted and she believed that, since they weren’t around much, they didn’t love her. As a teen she thought they didn’t understand her because they set rules for her behavior and she again interpreted this to mean they didn’t love her. She used this interpretation of her childhood as the basis of her life story. . . blaming her parents for her own failures. She’s still tellingthe story and she is still trying to live happily ever after.

What’s your story and how often do you tell it?

Self Improvement Starts With a Personal Plan

Categories: Self Improvement | September 14th, 2011 | by admin | no comments

Have you ever heard that saying; “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” It makes sense doesn’t it? Well, self improvement is a lot like that. You need an action plan and I do not mean a silly little to do list. You need a strategy and a plan, one you are committed to, one which you are one with the dedicated cause. In self improvement that cause is the best cause of all; You!

So, it is you that needs to plan, a personal plan one which takes into consideration your abilities and strengths, but does not negate your challenges or weaknesses. And yes, despite what you might think everyone has areas they are weak at. It’s like the Kyptonite Theory of Superman. And if you had no weaknesses and you were perfect at everything, then I dare say you certainly wouldn’t find anything worthy in this article, you don’t need it.

Daily Goal Setting and Self Improvement

Categories: Self Improvement | September 13th, 2011 | by admin | no comments

In this world in which we live, it is easy to become stagnant, to be comfortable where we are. This leads to lazy, lower-quality lives that get boring quickly. You may find yourself stuck in a rut, comfortable, but bored and getting nowhere. Have you considered setting goals for yourself? Most of us make goals around the New Year that we forget a week later.

Daily goal setting is an excellent way to improve yourself on a consistent basis. When you wake up in the morning, what thoughts usually run through your mind? What you want for breakfast, or five more minutes, or what you have to deal with today? What if instead it was, “What one small thing can I do today to better myself?”

NLP Self Improvement and Personal Development – Making the Positive Choices That Affect Our Lives

Categories: Self Improvement | September 3rd, 2011 | by admin | no comments

Looking for self improvement ideas? Interested in personal development? NLP offers a straightforward way to make those changes and become more resourceful individuals.

Neuro Linguistic Programming provides us with self improvement tools to enhance our own personal development, to be in control of our inner states, and to make the most positive choices and decisions in our lives. To be or not to be.

Self Improvement

Even Shakespeare realized that having a choice is so important to the individual. Having the ability to weigh up the options, make a judgment and then make a selection empowers us and gives us control in the way we live. Think of the millions of decisions we each make everyday. The easy choices of what clothes to wear, cash or charge, eat in or take away, the bigger decisions, Ford or Honda, Republican or Democrat, East or West Coast, and yet we are not always aware of one of the most important and life changing choices we can each make every day.

The Path To Self Improvement Lies Within

Categories: Self Improvement | September 1st, 2011 | by admin | no comments

Over the years many people have developed programs that promise to help those that are suffering both mentally and physically. Some may have actually helped, and some may have not. One thing that cannot be disputed is that the path to self improvement lies within. It is a matter of looking into one’s mind, body, soul and spirit.

Doctors and scientists may agree to disagree on whether or not this path is a mental block. It may be a mental block, but one thing that cannot be disputed is that the suffering can overwhelm a person to the point of no end. No doctor or scientist can fully dig deep into the mind of one who struggles on a continuous basis without trying to prescribe the latest and greatest medication. This is where the human spirit takes control, and without a doubt can prescribe a relief that no medication ever will.

Self Publishing Free PDF Ebooks – Two Tips For Improvement

Categories: Self Improvement | August 26th, 2011 | by admin | no comments

Distributing free ebooks is now an important part of the marketing mix for many new and established fiction authors.

For most self-publishing fiction writers, the quickest and easiest way to produce an ebook is to convert a manuscript to PDF (Portable Document Format.) This is the most accessible and versatile cross-platform (PC and Mac) format, which also provides the closest simulation of a printed work: retaining cover-art and page layout properties rather than being pure digital text. The audience for this format is greater too: almost all Internet users have access to a computer but, comparatively, only a few possess the financial resources to purchase a modern handheld ebook reading device.

Self Improvement: Five Questions to Better Time Management Through Improved Self-Management

Categories: Self Improvement | August 11th, 2011 | by admin | no comments

Time is a constant 24 hours or 1,440 minutes or 86,400 seconds each and every day of the year. HINT: With time being a constant, then no one can manage time. What we are really doing is changing our beliefs about learning how to better manage ourselves.

With the variety of tools from hard copy time organizers to electronic PDA’s, individuals today should be far more in control of their time than ever before. What usually happens is that the consistent use of these tools and strategies declines somewhere between 30 and 180 days. The reason for this is quite simple. People are focusing on their behaviors, which are the desired end result, and not on changing their beliefs.
