Categories: Computers and Technology, Education | November 24th, 2008 | by admin | no comments

Tossing together a little dinner of amaretto shrimp almandine doesn’t overwhelm you. Stuffed puff pastries don’t faze you. You relish the thought of a career standing in front of a hot stove. You are not alone in wanting a culinary career.

The National Restaurant Association notes that an estimated 12.8 million people make the restaurant industry the second-largest industry next to government. Two million more jobs will be added by 2017 for a total of 14.8 people employed in the industry.

I first heard the phrase “university-on-wheels” from one of America’s top business speakers - Brian Tracy. What an odd but fascinating concept. He was referring to the value we can get listening to audio books while driving. And guess where I first heard his phrase “university on wheels”? I was driving to work.

When you think about time as a precious and finite resource, most people waste as many as 2 or more hours every single day commuting to work. Most folks are not using their commute time to learn anything. They leave their minds on a sort of autopilot the entire time commuting to work. Many listen to the radio while driving, which is hardly a serious learning environment.

If a lot of bad things are happening to you have a look at Deuteronomy Chapter 28 and you may discover why life is treating you the way it is.

But, in these articles, I have been writing about what went so terribly wrong when Almighty God created this world. It was once in perfect condition, and man was placed in a delightful park.
