Whenever the word home business is mentioned, most minds are immediately shrouded by doubts. Majority of the population of network marketers arent exactly the ones you want to set as an example if you talk about success. Those who belong to the 97 percent who are failing want an easy way out to everything and they sometimes do things out of desperation that tarnish the image of home business and working from home in general.

How could they not fail if the one supposed to be their mentor is either too busy achieving success or does not have anything to teach at all; or maybe both. They are left on their own, in the dark, without any idea what to do next or how to start things. Remember that in network marketing, in helping others, you are also helping yourself. It is also better to retain old members than to recruit new ones.

Another reason is the lack of education. Most of these marketers attend free or even paid seminars where the speaker talks about what should instead of talking about how to. Network marketers may know the basics of marketing but how sure are they that what is being taught to them is actually effective; and learning only the basics is never enough.

Mindset is another reason why most network marketers fail. Most of these people joined because of a very powerful and emotional speech combined with a cheesy presentation. If you are not doing anything and you are in a mission to change your lifestyle into a better one, there is a very high percentage that you will be signing an application form. Of course after you join it is to your horror that your recruiter will never give a single minute to teach you on getting started. Starting a business is never easy and home based businesses, specifically network marketing is not an exception.
