Ten Ways How to Avoid Scams in Home Business Ideas

The home business industry is booming particularly now that the global economies are shrinking and companies are downsizing. People are looking for other income opportunities and particularly ones that do take demand too much time input.

Having done a lot of research prior to opting for the business that the writer is in right now, this is a quick list of 10 things to look out for:-

1). If the landing page is full or razzle and different colours offering to make you rich, run for the hills.

2). If there is no details of who the person is that is offering you something, run for the hills. Beware of people that hide behind pages without putting their names and their faces on the same page that they ask for you to enter your details.

3). Make sure that the business you look to do means something to you. Make sure that it resonates with you. If you are not really interested in what you do, you will drop it when the first hurdle comes along.

4). Due diligence on the company and its products. This is not just limited to goggling them. Find out where they are based and call the local area business bureau and find out if any negative press has been written about them. Go deeper.

5). Beware of big money promises. Most people that say they have made millions on the internet have not made anywhere near that. Beware even if they post copies of cheques and pictures of income statements. Get you own feeling and trust it.

6). Trust your gut feeling. If something does not feel right or credible from the beginning – walk away. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

7). Try to find a product that has an ongoing value for you. Some products you can use and re-use and keep using them. Some have communities that you can be a part of for no extra charge and listen to and mix with other successful people in the same industry.

8). Make sure that you have a mentor. Making sure that you have a good mentor that will always be there for you is important to your success. Online business can be a bit lonely at times, so look for a mentor who will always give you time and mastermind with you especially in the beginning when you are clueless.

9). Once you find a business idea that you like – just go for it. Take action. Not taking action is what got you to where you are today – looking for a business. So just take action once you find something that you like.

10). Finally, KISS. Keep it simple stupid. Don't look for something that has loads and loads of income streams with the thought that if one does not work, the other will. Keep it simple. Stick with it and be consistent and persistent and you will have success in time.
